The Official Band of Quincy, MA (the City of Presidents), the VBs are dedicated to the pursuit of energetic shows that move folks to dance, laugh, and feel feelings. These hot band of songwriter nerds serves up an eclectic mix of reggae, funk, and rock music in the tradition of family ensembles like The Wailers, Parliament, and The Band. The Van Burens' professional playfulness throws a joyous vibe from stage to audience, making each song, each set, and each concert unique. Veterans of club and festival shows in Boston and New England, the VB have played hundreds of shows and graced every kind of stage. Their longstanding residency at the Middle East was a staple of 2010’s Cambridge. In 2020 the band released their third EP Hot Date At the Money Factory.
