The Ring Shout is an African American spiritual tradition that helped cultivate community. Many of the enslaved populations during the late 1600s and 1700s spoke different languages as they were coming from different coastal regions of West and Central Africa. The Ring Shout served as the vehicle for communication among all groups. This workshop will offer education regarding the history of this tradition as well as an opportunity to participate in a modern styling of this spiritual dance. *Space is limited to 12 people* Cost: $25 ****************** Meet Your Facilitator Vanessa is a long time resident of Manchester. She is a spiritual counselor and energy therapist with 20 years of experience in guiding, developing, and counseling others in all aspects of their lives.
