More About the Chef: Chef Francoise Brana was born in Los Angeles in a Chilean family, and grew up traveling to Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Italy. After her family settled in San Diego she began working in restaurants and hotel kitchens where her food obsession began. Chef Francoise then spent years working in Europe and learning as much as she could before returning to Los Angeles in 2008 and working in several top fine dining restaurants and five star hotels. In 2012, she took an opportunity to become a traveling chef and was introduced to the world of extreme cooking and sourcing eventually joining the world of yachting. Through her travels she developed a global palate and her continuous search for new flavors and freshness is reflected in her cuisine. Chef Francoise made her way back to San Diego and is now part of the culinary team for Daring Foods, a revolutionary plant chicken company.
