Join California 100 -- a new statewide initiative being incubated at the University of California and Stanford University-- for an in-person event at the Fresno State Library's Ellipse Gallery for the unveiling of our issue and future scenario report focused on the future of agriculture. On Monday, October 17 at 12:00 pm, California 100 research partners will discuss their findings and possible scenarios for the future in a panel discussion. Panelists include the following California 100 partners: Dr. Anastasia Telesetsky, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental SciencesCinthia N. Flores, Esq. Board Member of the California Agricultural Labor Relations BoardDr. Henry Brady, Director of Research for California 100 and former Dean of the UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public PolicyDr. Karthick Ramakrishnan, California 100 Executive Director & Event ModeratorWith special remarks from: Karen Ross, Secretary of the California Department of Food & AgricultureDr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, California State University, Fresno President The goal of California 100 is to lift up and support transformative ideas, people and projects that accelerate progress with a focus on inspiring a vision and strategy for California’s next century that is innovative, sustainable, and equitable. In addition to sponsoring original work, the California 100 Platform will promote the best of what is happening in California. Through these various projects and activities, California 100 seeks to move California towards an aspirational vision—changing policies and practices, attitudes and mindsets, for a more vibrant future. Please note: the panel discussion will take place, in-person, at the Fresno State Library's Ellipse Gallery . Doors open at 11:45 am and panel will begin promptly at 12:00 pm.
