Garrett Citizens - Ordinance Fine? Unfair Enforcement? Anyone fined by Tara with an ordinance violation that they feel was confusing, unwarranted, unreasonable, or not well explained. Even if warranted, as you indeed have weeds, you were cited and fined in a less than equal manner. For example, get fined for weeds, when Mayors and his buddy the ordinance officer have weeds on the same date and time just as high? Is one month the stuff in your yard ok but the following week your grill and mower is called rubbish? Have you had the ordinance officer trespass to fine you? Do they make an extreme effort to look through your fence? Do you get fined without explanation other than "accumulating rubbish" without pictures? Even with pictures, is there a detailed explanation and circled pictures of what needs to be done? Do you get adequate time to fix it? Many citizens pay fines and grumble amongst themselves, feeling like we are the only ones, and it's not worth fighting, and who do you even complain to is what we think? Despite our busy lives, we need to band together and figure out how many of us are subject to this abuse of authority, separating us from our money to the threat of housing lien if left unpaid. We will continue to be fined, warranted or not, while those doing the fining don't have to play by the same rules. Let's talk as neighbors if anyone is being fined in an unfair manner.
