Duties and Responsibilities: Point of sale, check in and check out customers using Gingr Portal Labeling belongings, food and medications during check in Responsible for the health and comfort of animals as well as recognizing emergency Documentation of all treatments and abnormal activity Walking dogs and picking up waste Provide animals with food and water according to our feeding schedule Cleaning and disinfecting the kennels and cages Changing bedding when soiled and replace with clean bedding Washing, drying and folding laundry General housekeeping of animal housing, food prep and laundry areas Administration of oral or topical medications as directed by veterinarians Help with bathing and grooming tasks Prepping animal crates for international transportation Other tasks needed to ensure the health and safety of animals Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent Previous experience in animal care or other related fields (highly preferred, but will train the right candidate) Must have a positive attitude and a genuine love for dogs and cats of all shapes and sized and other animals Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner A flexible schedule Physical ability to work with dogs and cats of various breeds and sizes Must be able to life a minimum of 50 pounds Hours of Operation: M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Sat 8:00 am - 11:00 am & 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sun 8:00 am - 10:00 am & 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
