do you like sam amidon, bill frisell, florist, alabaster deplume, brian blade fellowship, caroline, or black country new road? our band plays jazz-inspired country-tinged music! trumpet, twinkly synth keys, electric guitar + bass, harmonies and sometimes strings. sometimes soft and beautiful, sometimes loud and shout-y. hoping to create a swelling sound in the wake of our drummer moving away. Not straight ahead or swung but looking for someone with a jazz background to express themselves and build tension! hobby band but playing professional shows at small DC venues (comet ping pong, house shows) all original songs! lyrics and political outlook of band: socialist. will make a record soon and we need your keen ear, brush skills, and friendship!
