We are a small carpentry shop in North Hollywood offering residential and commercial custom cabinetry, custom furniture and architectural millwork and we have an immediate requirement for a carpenters assistant. Working closely with the lead carpenter, this is a great opportunity to learn and develop you carpentry skills that will take you to journeyman and beyond. We're looking for someone reliable and with a basic level of carpentry skills, which includes proficient use of most common power tool and accurate measuring. You'll be good at taking and keeping notes and pitch in with tasks such as shop organization and cleaning, picking up supplies. You don't need tools, we'll kit you out with what you need. Or bring your own if you prefer. You'll get hands on experience with CNC manufacturing and a variety of different carpentry techniques from custom cabinets and finishing techniqes, to crafting bespoke furniture and architectural designs like feature slatted walls and restaurant facades. If you love carpentry and seeing designs come to life, you'll fit in here. We value reliability and above all the ability to learn quickly. This is a full-time position, but we are also flexible on hrs and days. May require overtime on occasion. Starting pay is $18p/h. (about $720pw) Come to us with prior experience, then we'll up that to $22p/h (about $880pw) plus bonuses. Text Tim and talk to us today.
