Fleet Mechanic for Airport Shuttle Vans

FastPark & Relax is a growing airport parking company seeking and enthusiastic Mechanic that will grow alongside. Duties include maintaining a fleet of (12) airport shuttle vans comprised of (3) 2015 Chevrolet Express diesels and (9) 2017 to 2019 Ford Transit gas busses. Customer service is our business, and we strive to be the best in the business. Your job will be to maintain the fleet so it can operate safely and efficiently. Using your skills and resources as a mechanic to resolve any problem or duty given to you until a satisfactory outcome has been achieved. This will be “your” fleet that you are responsible for and to take pride in. Ultimately you will diagnose a problem, order the parts, and then resolve the problem on your own. Duties include but not limited to: Preform required PM services per company guidelines Track and maintain records of purchases, PM’s and repairs made Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems Knowledge in Diesel Exhaust Systems – preferred but not required Some repairs include changing all fluids (engine oil, transmission, differential, and coolant), tire repairs/replacement, brakes, hoses, and maintain a/c systems, etc. Complete major repairs in a timely/cost effective manner Use your resources from local contacts to intercompany mechanics when needed to solve problems that you are unfamiliar with. Establish good communication with management and inform of any lengthy repairs. Polite and friendly attitude is required – you may be tasked with assisting customers when needs ranging from simple questions about the company to jump starting dead batteries. Maintain a clean and safe work environment Bumper to Bumper inspection, preventive service, and repairs Requirements Supply your own hand tools Professional appearance and work ethic Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record. Must have at least 1 year automotive or diesel technician experience or graduating from a technical school in the automotive or diesel program within 3 months. The vans will have a lot of idle time and the Diesel Particulate filter will need servicing more often than over the road counterparts. With company supplied scan tool you may need to perform “forced” regenerations and/or take each van on a drive to burn off the soot. 401K Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Paid vacation www.thefastpark.com
