New Life Presbyterian Church is looking for a motivated Nursery Worker to take care of infant to pre-K aged children during their worship service. Duties of the Nursery Worker include receiving children from parents and playing with toys with them, reading to them, holding them, settling them, and entertaining them. The ideal candidate should have integrity, energy, and joy. If you have previous experience in babysitting, nannying, daycare, healthcare, or teaching, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Nursery Worker will ensure the safety and care of children so their parents can be kid free and enjoy the worship service.
Responsibilities:
Set up of partitions / toys for nursery space
Clean up, including cleaning touched surfaces of partitions / toys for nursery space
Provides age appropriate care
Enjoys being around children of all ages
Comfort and soothe upset babies/toddlers
Requirements:
Experience working with children
Punctuality
Consents to background check
Provides references
Agrees to abide by policies and procedures set by New Life Presbyterian Church for the nursery
Availability to work (missing no more than one Sunday every two months)
Not required but preferred:
CPR training
Healthcare sector
Education or early childhood sector
Ability to commit long term
