GE Heat Pump / A/C - Servicing Needed

I have an "antique" GE heat pump that despite its age has been performing well, so I'm reluctant to replace it until it has given up its ghost. :) A couple of days ago the air handler inside the home started to have ice build up. Defrosted, cleaned and dried but the problem persists. Need someone to check coolant level to rule out being low. Unit still puts out cold air but may need a top up. Alternatively, maybe coils need a bigger cleaning job than what I have done... I'm going this CL route because given its age, I don't want to invest a lot of money when I'm looking at replacing this unit in the not too distant future.
