The Who, What, Where, and the When to Understand the Why (BIBLE STUDY FOR REVIVE CHURCH FROM LIGHT OF MENORAH MINISTRIES AS APPROVED BY REVIVE CHURCH) TO REGISTER - CLICK ON "SELECT A DATE" IN THE UPPER RIGHT AND REGISTER ONLY FOR 10/6       Biblical writers assumed we the readers of the Bible were familiar with the culture and customs of then the current society and the natural geography of the land.  Today, unfortunately, many of us do not have even a basic idea of the layout of the region.  This study will bring us back to our Jewish roots, but, even more, it will put the Bible back into its historical context to help one “hear” the words of the Bible the way the believer did in the 1st century A.D.       God used culture.  When He walked among us in the 1st century A.D. Jesus used the Jewish culture and customs to help those who heard Him for the first time understand His words.  But, more than that, God did the same in Turkey (Asia Minor), Greece, and Rome.  The Lord used the culture, customs, and even the geography of the people who lived in Asia Minor, Greece, and Rome to understand the Good News of the Kingdom and the salvation given to them.  Amazingly, God did the same in Egypt.  He used the ancient culture of Egypt to teach His people who first came out of Egypt.  Those Hebrews did not know Israel.  They had assimilated into the Egyptian culture.  All they knew was Egypt.  God needed to reach them somehow.  This Bible study will help us see how God did that.  This Bible study will help us "hear" God's word and the Good News of the Kingdom as if we were like them, the ones who first heard the words.  As a result this will light a fire in our soul and enhance our walk with Adonai Yeshua, the Lord Jesus.       This Bible study - using powerful images from the Middle East, videos where events took place - will help us reconnect to the ancient culture and customs of Israel and the Jewish people and along with a good foundation in the geography of the region.  Each class we will focus on the archaeology, history, geography, culture, customs, and language of ancient Israel.  We will learn, as the bible history teacher, Ray Vander Laan stated, the WHO, the WHAT, the WHERE, and WHEN of the Bible stories so we then will be able to understand the WHY.  TO REGISTER - CLICK ON "SELECT A DATE" IN THE UPPER RIGHT AND REGISTER ONLY FOR 10/6 REGISTRATION required since we have limited seating.
