This event was started back in the fall of 2001 to celebrate the life of 'Big' John Scharnek. John lost his 8 month battle with lung cancer on 8.7.01 at the young age of 55. John loved the Badgers, but most of all loved the party before (and after) the game with friends and family.
Since its inception we have raised over $100k to support cancer and kidney related charities.
The event fee of $50 + processing fees includes your t-shirt, a catered meal, all you can drink (beer, water, soda) and live music from our iphone.
College kids have ALWAYS been free (b/c that is the way Big John would have wanted it) but we still need you to register and tell us your t-shirt size. Hey kids...while this is FREE please limit your invitations to those who you live with or whose parents are already attending.
We make most of our money b/c of the generous support of our corporate sponsors. For $250 we will add your logo to the back of the famous Big John t-shirts. Please email Tracey at [email protected] if you are interested and send along a jpg attachment of your logo.
To guarantee your t-shirt you MUST sign up by Sept. 30.
