A National Perspective on Vaccination Rates and the AIMS Method; Influenza Update: Burden of Disease, ACIP Recommendation Update, Recent Influenza Surveillance and Vaccination Rate Data for Washington Brief AIMS Method Description: The AIMS (Announce, Inquire, Mirror and Secure Trust) method is an approach designed to support timely vaccination and address vaccine hesitancy. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of building trust with vaccine-hesitant patients and caregivers. Providers, office staff, and community organizations are critical to establishing public trust in vaccination. This presentation will focus on the current state of vaccination uptake in the US and the AIMS methodology, a simple four-step approach to building trust and increasing the effectiveness of conversations with patients and/or their caregivers on vaccines. This patient-focused method is based on behavioral science and can empower providers, staff, and community organizations to build trust and strengthen vaccine recommendations. Speakers: Sanofi US Field Medical – Vaccines Amy Nicholas, PharmD Director, Medical Value & Outcomes David Mwin, PhD Medical Science Liaison
