In need of a reliable light or heavy duty automotive tech with solid electrical experience and good HVAC knowledge. You will be responsible for performing warranty work on heavy duty vehicles located in various boroughs around NYC. While you need to have a solid foundation in performing electrical work, little to no troubleshooting will be required. You will be given a set of instructions and all you need to do is follow those instructions. A service representative will be onsite and available to demo the work for you, and answer any technical questions shall they arise. You will generally be able to make your own schedule, however you must be available to perform work when vehicles are available to work on, which is typically the graveyard shift. Work is expected to continue through the winter and into spring. Some weeks will be 40 hours or more, others may be less depending on parts and vehicle availability. You are required to provide your own hand tools to properly perform tasks assigned to you. That also includes a laptop capable of running diagnostic software (which you will also receive instruction on how to operate). Some special tools may be provided by company if required.
