Our Dash is a set of obstacles for a person to experience the mental & physical our First Responders & Military experience on a daily basis.
The North Jefferson First Responders Scholarship Fund was established to remember our friend Nick O’Rear who paid the ultimate sacrifice by giving his life for the community he loved. The foundation assists those who enter into the first responder world intending to use their personal courage to face the fears and dangers of this world that we often turn away or run from. Several of the main qualities of a First Responder is having honor and courage; Honor is a matter of carrying out, acting, and living the values of respect, duty, loyalty, selfless service, integrity and personal courage is to face fear and adversity in everything you do. The Fit For Duty Dash event and obstacles are a small way to see mentally and physically what and how first responders and our military, handle situations every day.
