Description

Presented by TreesLouisville and the Louisville Free Public Library: Join us in welcoming guest speaker Kris Bachtell, V.P. of Collections and Facilities for the Morton Arboretum to the Northeast Regional Library as part of Louisville Tree Week 2022! No more nightmares on Elm Street. Today, a completely new generation of elms is becoming available to beautify and green American cities. For these trees to have longevity, they need to be sited properly and have a sound, well-developed structure. For mature trees to have good structure, they must be pruned properly when young. Gain an understanding of how these pruning principles can be utilized to improve your community's trees for a long, productive future. This event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. Limit 200 attendees.
