Help us honor America’s first inhabitants and Tribal Nations as we celebrate and recognize Indigenous Peoples Day with several different events at the Western Heritage Museum on 8 October including a plaited basket weaving workshop! Participants will learn about traditional basket weaving techniques and then weave their own plaited basket to take home. Workshop is designed for participants 16 years of age and older. The workshop will break at 11:00 am in order to view the Native American flute and hoop dancing performance.
