Do you remember singing in harmony with other folks? The joy that comes from singing in a choir? I direct a low key choir at 1st Presbyterian church in Vancouver Wa. Most of us have been singing longer than most the people on the planet have been alive. But we keep on doing it, because it keeps our ears and hearts tuned. It gives us a community to be part of. I have all ranges of talent. But mostly, I'm about people adding their tone to the whole. 1st Pres is a non-invasive sort of Christianity. It's a tool for folks to borrow on their spiritual journey. The whole universe is sacred, and we celebrate that reality every time we sing. So, if you want to sing, and make friends, check us out. We practice most Thursdays during the school year from 7-8 pm. We sing in church most Sundays at 10:00 a.m. The service lasts under an hour. We take all ages, colors, seekers, non-conformists, incredibly straight people, political parties, but generally well-meaning folks that love to sing. Think about. There aren't too many choirs left, so come join us on the journey!
