Sound Bath Meditation with Heat 3.0 Pilates Reformer & Hot Yoga

Description

A 30-minute guided meditation begins with light pranayama (breath work) and intention setting followed by a gong and singing bowl sound bath. Sound Meditation works through entrainment, a process by which our brain waves synchronize with the sound wave patterns emanating from the instrument being played. Simply put, it drops us into deeper, slower brainwave patterns, providing a vehicle for us to access our deeper brainwave states, promoting deep meditation and eliciting the body's natural healing capacity. The class will take place outdoors on the plaza at Lincoln Common. It is recommended to bring your own mat. This class is part of Lincoln Park Health and Wellness Weekend.
