Ratio Christi at Texas A&M University presents a lecture by Dr. David Baggett of Houston Baptist University entitled “Do We Need God to be Good? Why the Moral Compass Points to God.” There will be ample time for Q&A following the lecture. October 6, 2022 at 8:30pm in the Memorial Student Center (MSC) Room 1400 at Texas A&M University. About the Speaker David Baggett is a professor of philosophy and the Director of the Center for the Foundations of Ethics at Houston Baptist University. He is a regular contributor to the Worldview Bulletin. He has written or edited ten books in such areas as ethics, philosophy and culture, and apologetics. His main area of research is moral philosophy and is well-known for defending a theist foundation as the best explanation for the various aspects of morality, such as moral values and obligations, moral knowledge, moral transformation, and moral rationality.
