Avalanche Safety Course @ Souhegan Valley Motorsports GPS address 459 South St Milford NH 03055 Course will start at 1pm this year to have more daylight for outdoor hands on training with Transceivers! Limited amount of room so please purchase tickets so we can get an idea of what we need for chairs and food! SKIDOO again will be providing PIZZA and DRINKS! BCA will be providing some door prizes! MORE DOOR PRIZES FROM OTHER VENDORS ARE BEING WORKED ON AS WELL! Mike Duffy will be presenting on Avalanche safety in the backcountry. As one of the leading instructors of motorized avalanche courses and information in the US, Mike is a wealth of knowledge and is helping to improve safety in avalanche terrain across the country. Whether you have been here before or not Mike does change and update his presentations yearly with data and facts as well so there is always something new to learn! We will be again bringing in wood chips to work with some hands on training with transceivers outside. Like mentioned the course is starting earlier so we can spend time outside! PLEASE BRING YOUR TRANSCEIVERS, PROBES, BAG ETC... iF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CRITIQUES ON YOUR SETUP AND ALSO WE ARE WORKING ON CREATING SOME MORE HANDS ON TRAINING IDEAS POTENTIALLY WITH REMOVING PROBES AND SHOVELS FROM BAGS AS WELL. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THEM NO WORRIES WE WILL HAVE SOME ON SITE TO SHARE/USE! CLASS ATTENDANTS WILL GET A CLASS DISCOUNT ON AVALANCHE GEAR @SVM AS WELL!
