Job Summary: A Sumas company is currently looking for General Labor Technicians to work in a lumber mill setting. This is a long-term, career opportunity that you don’t want to miss! No experience needed, as on the job training is offered! Starts right away! Job Duties & Responsibilities include: Repeatedly identifying specific sized boards as they are coming down the chain and grading table Move, stack or flip all sizes of lumber boards onto pallets with Boards weighing up to 120lbs Keeping the kiln sticks neatly piled on a rack while they are being fed by a chain conveyor Piling dunnage and strapping kiln sticks on the stick palettes Doing sawmill operations working as a lumber grader. Upgrading the boards- this knowledge comes with practice and time if it is something you are not familiar with Pulling lumber off the chain and scraping excess bark off of it, then putting it back on the belt This company offers: Medical Plan Dental Plan 401(K) Retirement Savings Plan Vision/Eyewear Plan Holiday and Vacation Pay Safety Bonuses Reviews Every 90 Days Growth From Within Quarterly Attendance Bonuses Up To $200 For Perfect Attendance!
