ROOTS Weekend is coming to Columbia, SC, October 7-9, 2022!ROOTS Weekend: Columbia brings together artists, cultural workers, organizers, and activists for deep dialogue, sharing art, learning from one another, and having fun in a welcoming environment. A condensed version of ROOTS Week, this 3-day convening keeps ROOTS connected in our members’ home communities. ROOTS Weekend: Columbia invites artists, organizers, and cultural workers to share ideas and inspiration through performance, visual art, workshops, dialogues, good conversations, delicious food, and vibrant social events! Activities will take place at Le Cafe Jazz in Columbia and many other wonderful venues in the area. ROOTS Weekends deepen our collective understanding of the work of social change by celebrating artists and organizers who are working within communities to develop creative solutions to long-standing issues. Please also review our COVID safety protocols which are informed by CDC and local guidelines. Daily rapid testing, masking indoors, and gathering outside whenever possible will be part of our COVID protocols for ROOTS Weekend: Columbia. Our goal is to help us all minimize risks before, during, and after gatherings. Please note: lodging and transportation are NOT included with this ticket.
