Male vocalist looking for

I'm a 38 year old male vocalist mostly looking to get back into making music after years away. I've previously been a lead singer for 3 cover bands playing pretty garden variety stuff (The Cure, Black Sabbath, Sublime, Crowded House, Weezer, Bill Withers, Bruce Springsteen...). I also play a little guitar, but mostly just chords. I am pretty flexible on exactly what I sing, but am most comfortable with the sort of music that a half drunk audience at a bar would enjoy. Ideally, I'm looking for an established group that already plays gigs in DC and NOVA. Failing that, I'd jam with people who might be interested in gigging in the future. Either way, nothing too serious. I only just moved back to DC (U Street area) yesterday, and don't yet have a car or gear. If either of those is required, I'd probably need a week or two to settle in. If not, I can drop in in the near term. I strongly prefer to practice/gig in DC or (metro-accessible) NoVA.
