Vibraphone Marimba Percussionist

Meets

Washington DC

Description

Hello. I am a percussionist of 30 years and I recently moved to the DC area. I moved from NYC where I founded, composed, recorded and performed with ensemble, et al., a percussion quartet, for 10 years. I am looking for a percussion community in the DC area hoping to find 2-3 like minded percussionists that I can collaborate and play with (mostly on vibraphone, marimba, glockenspiel, auxiliary setups with gongs and tuned metal pieces and some keyboards -Fender Rhodes and moog). I write my own music and have scores/ parts that players can read. I also have tunes that are teachable by rote. My tunes are pretty simple so finding players with ridiculous chops is not absolutely necessary. My music can be found at the links below: https://www.ensembleetal.com https://ensembleetal.bandcamp.com https://open.spotify.com/artist/3c9Xc27p6in6wqtndX97CZ?si=fcy289duRKmvSUwHJdAmTA Some albums that I am into: Steve Reich -  Music for Mallets Voices and Organ Phillip Glass - Glassworks David Lang - wed  Arvo Part - Fur Alina   Tortoise - TNT  or Standards The Mercury Program - A Data Learn the Language So Percussion - Amid the Noise Bell Orchestre - As Seen Through Windows amiina - animamina Clogs - Lantern Claudia Quintet - Semi-Formal Medeski Martin & Wood - Shak-man Aphex Twin - Drukqs   Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children Bing & Ruth - City Lakes Daniel Wohl - Corps Exquis Radiohead - Amnesiac and/or Kid A Bjork - Vespertine   Sigur Ros - ()
