Aanii! Boozhoo! Hello!
On Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 2-3 pm, explore the indigenous languages of our neighborhood with local author and co-founder of Ojibwe.net, Stacie Sheldon.
Sheldon is the author of the dual-language (Anishinaabemowin and English) children’s book Bebikaan-Ezhiwebiziwinan Nimkii (The Adventures of Nimkii), starring her real-life dog companion Nimkii.
This FREE family event is for kids of all ages.
Schedule:
2 pm - storytime with Stacie Sheldon and her doggie companion Nimkii2:15 pm - creativity time! Design your own relationship garden with Stacie2:30 pm - relationship garden show and share2:40 pm - friend time! We’ll enjoy some traditional Anishinaabe snacks together, including blueberries and maple treats.If the weather is nice, we’ll meet outside of Booksweet in the courtyard. If not, we’ll move indoors to the children’s section.
