Description

Just before the start of the pandemic, Soroptimist International of Tuscaloosa set a goal to raise $25,000 for the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force through their annual brunch fundraiser. While it was a huge success and their goal was met, the following two years made it difficult to continue an event that they had hosted for over 40 years. It was time to do something different. Because human trafficking is a huge problem and is growing, we knew we had to get back out in the community and help this dedicated group of men and women get the support they need. Because this is an issue that effects our whole community we wanted to do something that would help us rally together and show our support. We could not be more excited about our first annual Shop to Stop Human Trafficking holiday event. Local businesses and individuals can participate in a couple of ways. They may purchase a booth to sell as a vendor, or they can choose to donate as a corporate sponsor with 4 levels to choose from. The market is free to attend as a shopper. Food trucks will be available on site for coffee or a hot meal. The members of the task force will also be onsite. Vendors, sponsors, events, and details can be found on Facebook, Instagram, and throught SITuscaloosa.com
