TUSCALOOSA, AL — The United States Senate will vote today to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election that saw Democrat Joe Biden named president-elect. Normally a mundane and routine affair, Tuesday's proceedings are expected to see opposition to the certification from a group of Republican senators, the likes of which include ardent supporters of President Donald Trump such as Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama.
