TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office is warning the public to be aware of scammers posing as bail bonding agents. TCSO says the scam callers will inform the potential victim that they are working on a bond for a friend or loved one.

Investigators say if you receive one of the calls, to make contact immediately with the person supposedly arrested. Those targeted can also call the actual agency the caller is claiming to represent.
TCSO cautions against sending Green Dot cards, money grams, or iTunes cards in response to these calls, in addition to warning against giving out personal information.
