Venice Pier Group is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Venice Pier Group has been a viable business in the community for over 30 years. The company is comprised of housing units and full-service restaurants. This position will work primarily in housing segment of the business performing routine/general maintenance jobs. There is also a possibility of working on restaurant projects from time to time. Essential functions: - Perform general maintenance duties on, but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen appliances. - Assist management with maintenance problems. - Move furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. -Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. - Maintaining interior/exterior restaurant cleanliness. - Drywall patching. - Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. - Physically able to lift 50 lbs. - Inside and outside environment. - Versatile and creative in your problem solving. - Work independently with little direction - Light yard work to include using a weed-wacker & pruning bushes/trees Qualifications: - Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields. - One year of experience with building maintenance (painting, minor plumbing, minor electrical, carpet cleaning). - Deadline and detail-oriented. - Flexible work schedule - available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. -Capable of completing work orders -Reliable transportation -Cell phone with text capability -Positive attitude Pay rate: $20.00 We have amazing benefits for you!
