Deck Construction Consultant Needed for DIY Project

I have an approximately 58 x 14 foot cantilevered deck that is roughly 28 inches off the ground at the highest point that needs to be replaced. My husband and I would like to do this job ourselves, but we don't have any construction experience. We would like to hire a craftsman/consultant (perhaps a retired contractor?) who would be willing to come to the house to coach us through this process. We will need help and instruction choosing materials and hardware, laying the foundation, and the construction itself. We are willing to do the majority of the work, and all of the tear-down, but we need someone to show us how to build a safe, sturdy, long-lasting, and code-compliant deck. We are on a budget, which is why this must be a coached DIY project, but we are willing and able to pay someone a fair consulting fee for their expertise. We expect this project will take considerable time to complete, as my husband and I both work full time. We'll be doing most of the job on evenings and weekends. Please reply with your experience, rates, availability, how you would approach a project like this, and references.
