Sierra Auction Phoenix is looking for an experienced firearms specialist who possesses extensive knowledge of firearms, attention to detail, in depth understanding of 4473's, great communication skills, a dynamic personality & great customer service skills. Typical work hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm & the possibility of some Saturday's. Paid Time Off & Health Insurance Plan available after probationary period. Duties and Responsibilities: Keep the department clean, straight & secure at all times. Physically, and systematically receive/acquire incoming firearms and/or black powder using A&D log books and electronic A&D system, by close of business each day. Verifies gun accuracy to receiving documents and manifests. Responsible for ensuring all firearms are acquired and disposed safely utilizing company protocols, proper and error free completion of all company forms, properly storing / locating, cleaning, and preparation of firearms for auction, properly packaging and shipping firearms in accordance with federal / state laws and company policy, safely checking /clearing firearms received by customers or via shipment, as well as mounting accessories/optics to firearms. Photograph & describe firearms for placement in upcoming auctions. In depth knowledge of form 4473 & ability to ensure 100% accuracy· Ensure all ATF standards are met for all firearm transactions. Perform other tasks as necessary and assigned by management, which will include preparing firearms for shipping, cleaning of bio-hazard firearms. Assisting winning bidders. Present firearms to customers in a safe manner. Required Skills: Good verbal and written communication. Education and Training: A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma required. Physical Requirements: This position involves a variety of physical activities including: talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. & work on your feet for several hours at a time. Travel Requirements: This position may require in state travel only.
