Rehoming Diabetic Cat

Description

We are looking to rehome our 8 year old diabetic cat named Eazy E. She is an indoor, brown/gray Torbie domestic medium hair. She has been diabetic for about 4 years after an allergic reaction to a steroid shot. Due to changes in our home, we are unable to give her the proper care schedule and attention she deserves. She currently lives with our other cat and dog and mostly ignores them. She has not lived in a home with kids – we think she’d be fine and ignore them mostly, too, but cannot say for sure. She loves attention and morning headbutts (fair warning!) She uses Novalin N insulin (Wal-Mart brand, costs about $25 and lasts three months when refrigerated.) We will provide a new, fresh bottle of insulin along with a full box of syringes. (She uses 8mm, 30 gauge syringes made for units of 10 or less.) She currently receives 5 units of insulin twice daily. We are looking for a warm, relaxing home for her to spend her days, preferably with a family or someone who can attend to her diabetes better than we can. We are hesitant to take her to the Humane Society and just want a home for our girl that keeps her happy, healthy, and content. Attached are pictures of our Eazy girl. Please email if interested; we would like to chat with interested parties before agreeing to rehome her to you, just to ensure she’s safe. Located in Wichita but willing to travel for the right home for her. No rehoming fee needed – we just want someone to love our girl.
