Description

Ben was acquired from a breeder and shipped to Minnesota. The buyer was told that he was trained to herd sheep and goats. When he arrived in Minnesota, it was discovered that he was misrepresented and was also abused by the previous owner. He's very cautious of men. However, if a guy gets down on his level he will come right up to him. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and he ignores our cats and likes our dogs. Unfortunately, we already have four dogs of our own so we cannot keep him. Plus our cats are definitely not fans as they've been hiding under the bed for days. Is there a rescue that would be willing to take him? He is not fixed yet. He is terrified of being picked up. If you try to pick him up he will flail his legs to get down. He's also extremely thin. I was told he walked okay on a leash but I have not tried it. I did try to put him in the kennel the first night and he wasn't very happy in there -so I just let him sleep in the bed with me the last two nights that I've had him and he just snugs right up and sleeps for the night. He needs someone that has a lot of love and a lot of patience and kindness to show him that humans are an okay thing.
