Watchdog seeking forever home! We are fostering Vera for pawsco.org. She an excellent watchdog - alert, attentive, aware... but not aggressive. If you travel for work, are a stay at home mom, or are concerned about your teenage children home alone, Vera might be a great fit for your family. To be clear - she has NEVER been aggressive to any person while in our care. She pretty much loves everyone! However, the stranger at your door doesn't know that. And, if they intend to do you harm, when faced with 65 pounds of American Pit Bull.... they're going to move on down the line! Last week, well after dark, I let her out on the back deck to go down to do her business before bed. At the edge of the deck, she alerted to something off in the distance, at the school that is across the street from our house. I kneeled next to her and just watched for a few minutes. Sure enough, maybe 50 yards in the distance, there was a little fox skulking thru the shadows, looking for bunnies. Vera saw him when I never would have! If she tells you "Something is out there", you can be sure.. "something" is out there. It might be a wasp, or a bunny, or a person... but something most definitely IS out there!
