The project:
Build a floor-to-ceiling shelf for vinyl records using plywood in a loft apartment building. The space where the shelf is going to be built is approx. 15’5” wide by 11’ tall.
I want to build the shelf system approx. 3.5 feet off of the back wall of the apartment to create a storage/closet space behind it. A structural wood beam sits about 3 feet off the back wall. This beam can be used to anchor the back of the shelf.
Photos:
In the photos, I currently have a green curtain in the place where the shelf will go. You can see the space behind the green curtain - this is where the closet/storage space will be. I have also included an image to give you an idea of the style of shelf I am looking to build.
About me:
I’m very ‘handy’. I have lots of experience in a variety of household building and maintenance projects. I have a tall ladder, circular and reciprocating saw, as well as an impact driver and other tools. I’m looking for someone who is able to lead this project by coming up with the design and execution of this shelf using their expert experience building similar things. I’m happy to and would like to, help in executing this project with your guidance.
If you feel you are the right person for this job please reach out to me and I can provide more photos of the space and more details about the project.
