Looking for someone to take your kitchen scraps & compostables narrowing your household’s or business’s carbon footprint & waste headed to the dump? We’re happy to schedule times to collect food scraps & compostable materials from you or your business in the Warrenton/Bristow/Midland/Bealeton/Stafford Areas. This is in efforts to decrease food waste & lessen the amount of items headed for the dump, thus, making our area more eco-friendly. Things we accept for direct composting (goes straight to compost): -Kitchen Scraps from veggies or fruits -Newspaper -Wood Shavings or Chips -Grass Clippings -Leaves -Whole Fruits or Veggies that are ripe or over-ripened Things we accept for animal feeds/consumption or indirect compost (as the animal’s manure will be composted): -meats (think of your freezer burnt meats or meats that you won’t consume within safe time to do so) -dairy products that are not molded or gone bad -Fruits, veggies, nuts -food scraps that do not do well in traditional composting such as cooked eggs, cooked meats, stale cakes, breads, or other grains/treats with excess sugar (that won’t compost well) Depending on household size or business (& frequency) we can schedule regular pick ups or meet up areas. We can provide you with information on how to keep items stored if a pick up or meet up is not able to work with your schedule right away.
