Rain Gardens can be an attractive and functional addition to any landscape. They slow and intercept the flow of storm water from rooftops and driveways and then allow that water to infiltrate back into the ground. Workshop participants will learn why rain gardens are important, how to design, site and build your rain garden, and how to landscape them with beautiful, low maintenance native plants. After the class we will view demonstration rain gardens at the NC Cooperative Extension Botanical Garden. Each participant will be able to take home a native plant!
