About This Event This month's speakers: Samantha Williams, Executive Director at Birmingham Promise; Mariohn Michel, Executive Director of Breakthrough Birmingham at Breakthrough Collaborative; and Allison Swagler, Director of Birmingham Venture for America. We all know that talent is a key issue for Alabama's employers and communities - we'll discuss the ongoing efforts and trajectory of Alabama's talent pipeline. From Breakthrough Birmingham's work with middle-school ages, Birmingham Promise with high school, to Venture for America with recent college grads, we're bringing three experts tackling different pieces of the puzzle. As executive director of Birmingham Promise, Samantha Williams seeks to guarantee opportunities for students by funding college tuition and providing internships and apprenticeships. Mariohn works with highly motivated, traditionally under-represented students to achieve post-secondary and leadership success at Breakthrough Birmingham. And last but not least, Allison Swagler is responsible for helping to bring high-caliber college graduates to Birmingham to work within the entrepreneurship ecosystem each year. through her role at VFA. Join us at this month's Coffee & Collisions to discuss a vision for Alabama's talent pipeline - bring plenty of questions for this one! Please be sure to RSVP as attendance is limited.
