My stepfather suffered from injuries that he sustained from a life working as a general laborer. Many days he was so stiff that he couldn't get out of bed. By the time that he was 50 years old he was unable to work and was considered disabled. After 2 years of being on disability he began to receive Medicare, however he didn't understand what benefits he qualified for or what Medicare did or didn't cover. He had so many questions and no one to ask, so I thought to myself that if he had unanswered questions there has to be a lot more people that have the same questions. So while I was working a full-time job with a family I decided to study and pass the insurance license so that I could help him and any other individual that receives disability Medicare and I've been on the mission ever since.
