He got himself kicked out of office and is now barred from holding any future elected office. It is interesting to note that it has been promised that this will NOT be the last use of the 1869 law--originally enacted to prevent ex-Confederates from holding elected office--in weeding out "INSURRECTIONISTS", as the group that brought the lawsuit that pried Griffin out of his comfy County Commissioner office plans to use it against other like-minded MAGA folks. Justice may not always be swift but this is a preview of more that is to come....
