Branching out from our foundation, Pure Seed Testing is focused on providing innovative seed services and marketing solutions. We are looking to fill a Seed Lab Technician position carrying out a multitude of functions in our Seed Lab. Job Duties: Examining seeds for contamination. Placing seed in germination. Counting germination tests. Data collection. Data recording. Education & Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent. Interest or knowledge of botanical sciences. Strong attention to detail. Ability to use a microscope. Basic math skills, including the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Understanding of both metric and standard weights and measures to determine percentages. Basic computer skills, including the minimal skills necessary to operate a computer. Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database. Compensation: $15/hour Schedule: This is primarily a part-time position, however during the busier times of year the hours may increase.
