JOB SUMMARY: Manages, monitors, and maintains effective department operations in the areas of maintenance, facilities, generator, fire marshal inspection, equipment preventative maintenance, safety, emergency prep, inventory, housekeeping, and laundry. QUALIFICATIONS: • Previous experience in facility and operation management, and engineering in a healthcare setting or related field. • Strong leadership skills and ability to perform a wide range of duties • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new application; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Education and/or Experience • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in operation management, engineering, or related field • 2+ years’ proven experience in a facilities / operations management position • Previous supervisory experience preferred • Budgeting, Purchasing and Accounts Payable experience Certificates, Licensure, Registrations • Valid Driver’s License Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge to safely operate plant equipment • Troubleshooting skills and the ability to problem solve while working in stressful situations • Basic computer skills • Demonstrated leadership skills • Must be able to take call and respond within a reasonable amount of time GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: • Ability to manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet safety standards (i.e. generator, heavy equipment, etc.) • Ability to maintain a safe work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with fire safety standards • Ability to generate, read, interpret, and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance and organizational policy/procedures • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships • Ability to work with skill in identifying problems; making frequent decisions regarding method of performance
