Little Miss Ludington Area is in affiliation with the Miss America Organization (MAO). Per MAO, Little Miss Programs are NOT to be judged in any way, shape, or form. Due to this, we choose our new title holders by drawing their names. If your child's name is drawn, they will be our title holder until she crowns her successor the following year.
Our new title holders will have the option to be included in all appearances and events that Miss Ludington Area does and will have the first opportunity to be a princess at Miss Michigan in June. This also means that she will not be able to participate in any other pageant systems or MAO affiliated programs for the duration of her reign; failure to abide by this rule will result in the loss of her title and a new name will be drawn.
Candidates will be participating in the following phases:
1) Opening Number (A nice dress or outfit that your child would wear for church or holiday gathering)
2) Onstage Question (Asking two basic questions; nothing that they wouldn't be able to answer)
2) Talent – Optional (90 sec talent; must be age appropriate)
Participants are not permitted to wear “stage make‐up” or full face of make‐up. Our program wants our littles to look as natural as possible. We will allow a small amount of blush, mascara, and lightly tinted lip gloss so you daughter doesn’t get washed‐out from the stage lights, but that is all that will be allowed. Should your daughter wear any more than what is allowed, she will be disqualified from the drawing.
There also will be the opportunity for an additional prize! We will be awarding a gift card to one child from each age division for People's Choice. Each participant can bring a box and members of the audience can place money in the box for who they think is a great Little Miss, Junior Miss, or Prince!
