Harmony vocals and hooks

I play guitar/keys/whatever and am desperately searching for other people to play with. I'd like to sing harmonies with someone who has a good voice and similar tastes. Playing an instrument would be a big plus. Female vocals would be ideal, but male vocals would be good too. I like catchy, well-written songs with hooks and a touch of hypnotic trippiness. Yes, singing tight harmonies can be difficult, but it is SO worth it when it comes out well! Just think how fun it would be to blow people away with a style that nobody seems to attempt anymore! Combination of originals and covers. I could list a bunch of obscure influences, mostly shoegaze/dreampop, synth/electro, and 60s sunshine pop, but I'll just say if you like the Beatles, that's close enough. I've been listening to them again recently, and most of what I like to do starts with them.
