Description
What is taking up real estate in your sacred space? How is that extra baggage holding you back? Now is the time to declutter the temple. Throw out unnecessary and unhelpful thoughts. Wash away old patterns. Get rid of false beliefs about yourself, others, and your inherent power. We must sweep out the dusty corners of the mind and body. Our home. Our temple. Go inward and do the work. Reclaim your true nature. . . Spaciousness. Allow Trish and Mercedes to be your guides in this evening of Decluttering the Temple through Breathwork and Yoga Nidra. Active Breathwork focuses on moving and releasing energy held in our bodies to improve our well-being. Your body is your home—past, present, and future all at once—and whether you realize it or not, it has been quietly collecting the full spectrum of your experiences. Chronic stress, trauma and painful events or experiences stay with us long after they have transpired. Unresolved, they create blocks and patterns of behavior or thinking that keep us from our highest selves, from reaching professional goals or achieving feelings of peace and contentment that allow our relationships to flourish. Through this practice, you can clear blocks, patterns and behaviors that keep you from you. Clearing the energy, releasing what is heavy, painful, or stagnant, creates space for what wants to come through you—just like weeding a garden or cleaning your house. Whether you are new to breathwork or have practiced many times, all are welcome. Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based meditation that uses a series of body, breath, and awareness techniques to guide you away from your thinking mind and into a deeply healing meditative state. Mercedes Randall began practicing yoga in 2008, starting with asana (postures) and dhyana (meditation). Her practice was initially an exercise that made her feel physically strong, mentally stable, and frankly, overall powerful. As she began to study the history and philosophy of this time-honored practice, she realized that yoga was not simply a workout for the mind and body, but a way of life. Mercedes is an E-RYT 200, RYT 500 and has over 1000 hours of teaching experience. She studied with Lynn Matthews in 2013 and 2016 in the Immersion into the Yoga Tradition teaching program. She is also certified in the Amrit method of yoga nidra, studying with Kamini Desai in 2013, completing advanced nidra training in 2017, and facilitator training in 2018. Trish D. Brewer is a trauma informed Breathwork Facilitator, and Reiki Master Practitioner. Her spiritual journey began when a medical emergency put her on the path of self-discovery and healing and ultimately led her to develop her practice. She sees herself as a lifelong student deepening her practice through ongoing education and exploration. Intuitive and empathetic, she works with clients individually and in group settings. Trish believes—and knows from experience—that healing oneself ripples outward and is committed to donating a meaningful percentage of her time and proceeds to national and community charities. For everyone's safety, participants will be distanced appropriately, and the class size will be limited. Participants will also be asked to bring yoga mats, blankets, a pillow, and an eye covering. Registration closes at 3pm, EST on Friday, September 30th. Open your heart to possibilities and join us! Love and Peace, Mercedes & Trish
