This gentle class is perfect for those who need to give their bodies a little extra love, seniors, anyone with injuries looking for some restoration and care, or anyone that needs extra TLC in their lives. Come join me for a slow flow with plenty of modifications that will meet you where you’re at.
Gentle yoga is exactly what it sounds like—a more gentle style of hatha yoga practice. It is performed at a much slower pace, with less intense positions, and usually includes extended time for meditation, yogic breath work, and relaxation.
About Yoga, and instructor Johanna Naminga:
"Yoga is the great healer of our bodies and minds. Yoga shows us our connection to our inner spirit and all that is within us. I strive to help others to find this connection and to engage in their own healing journey by engaging in a deeper awareness of self through the process. Yoga has been an integral part of my life and my own journey for the past 17 years after a car wreck that injured my neck and back and, more recently, after using yoga to recover from a sepsis infection where I had to learn to walk again. Yoga has helped me to reclaim my body and my sanity, and I hope to share that in some small way in my teaching." - Johanna Naminga
After one hour of gentle yoga, we will be having an optional free 15-minute sound bath with our 432 hz 99.9% American quartz singing bowls. Allow the healing sound waves to wash over you as you meditate and reflect after the class. Our singing bowls are chakra tuned so you will leave with your chakras aligned and your mind, body, and spirit centered.
