Soul Shop is a community-oriented program exploring how we think and talk about suicide. This training includes an introduction to the CALL model for keeping a person with thoughts of suicide safe.
The goal of workshop is to begin working in the larger community beyond the church to create a network of support for those who are impacted by suicide.
This community-oriented program is designed to increase awareness of the dangers of suicide and discuss the steps that can be taken to reduce risks.
Target audience: This could be beneficial for parents, police, nurses, teachers, and any other concerned citizens who might want to learn how to ask the question of suicide, learn about the prevalence of suicide in the community, and get more engaged with how to be a part of the solution.
Suicide is a public health crisis which requires our communities to respond. We believe all congregations are well situated to be significant sources of hope and healing for those impacted by suicide.
