In addition to his solo residencies around the area – he often performs at The Pairing, KC Wine Co and Barley's Kitchen + Tap, to name a few – Corsi is a principal vocalist of The Band That Fell To Earth, an annual tribute to David Bowie. This is an important fact to know about Corsi, whose charismatic songwriting and whimsical storytelling draws inspiration from his love for Bowie. While Not A Planet took a hiatus in 2019, he tapped friend and veteran guitarist Chris Meck to woodshed new material. After a few fits and starts – i.e., a global pandemic – Corsi solidified the group with Nathan Showalter on keys, Tom Hudson on drums, and Benjamin Hart** on bass, along with an album’s worth of songs. The project, newly dubbed Nathan Corsi and My Atomic Daydream, debuts their first official single and video for “Cuts Like A Knife”: The track was culled from the band’s newest batch of songs, recorded in Meck’s home studio (which is also featured in the video, directed/shot by Steve Gardels and edited by Simon Williams). It builds on Corsi’s striking bravado with snugly layered pop harmonies, rich blues guitar tones, and a groove imbued with retro soul. Quite simply, it leaves us longing for more." (by Michelle Bacon - August 11, 2022) COPPER THREADING Copper Threading is a collaborative musical effort of family and friends, featuring Kris and Havilah Bruders. What is Copper Threading? It’s a blazing fire on a cold winter night, a family hearth where the old folks tell stories and young ones listen with quiet delight. It’s the sight of something familiar and the sound of something new. It’s the black and white photo of your Grandpa in his army uniform. It’s your grandmothers gentle smile. It’s the security of the generational family home. Its the ache of the young man listening to train whistle promises. It’s love and love lost. It just might be a spring flower or an autumn leaf. A summer sunset or a fine winter’s morning. What is Copper Threading? Simply put, it’s music. The songs and stories that tie us all together, the million and one threads that wind through each and every one binding us together.
